The 98th Academy Awards were held on March 15–16, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, celebrating the best films and performances of the year. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.
The biggest winner of the night was the film One Battle After Another, which won Best Picture and several other major awards including Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson.
Actor Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor for his role in the film Sinners, while Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet.
Another historic moment came when cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw became the first woman to win the Oscar for Best Cinematography for her work in Sinners.
